HEADACHES CAUSED BY STRESS

Stress - caused by anxiety about an uncertain outcome or future
There’s totally a reason the Bible says to take no thought for tomorrow. Simply put friend, today is its own beast that you have to deal with. Handle today before you are trying to tackle today. You know a God that has tomorrow in His hands. I promise you it’s taken care of. I know it can be difficult to remember that in the midst of conflict, struggle or frustration. So here’s some reminders God gave us to help us keep the faith.
Disclaimer: I typically read the KJV (King James Version), but I will be using different versions of the Bible for better understanding/translation of what the word is actually telling us.
Matthew 6:34 (NIV) Therefore do not WORRY ABOUT TOMORROW, FOR TOMORROW WILL WORRY ABOUT ITSELF. EACH DAY HAS ENOUGH TROUBLE OF ITS OWN.
This verse is so important because sometimes the source of our stress is us trying to play God. While we do have free will, our future HAS to be placed in God’s hands. Why? Because He’s a better writer (Creator) than we are. Any plan we make, He already has a better one. God literally says “Anything you can do, I can do better” in Isaiah 55:8-11. Humans are imperfect, but God is perfect and holy, and EVERYTHING He does is good. Period. Let Him write the story of your life so you can get the perfect ending He plans for you. Jeremiah 29:11
PROVERBS 3:5 (AMP) TRUST IN AND RELY CONFIDENTLY ON THE LORD WITH ALL YOUR HEART AND DO NOT RELY ON YOUR OWN INSIGHT OR UNDERSTANDING.
We won’t understand everything, and I don’t think we’re meant to. God sees all, and knows all things. If we fully trust in Him, we’ll have no doubt that He can fight battles we don’t even see coming, and give us wisdom when we don’t know what we probably should. As humans we are limited to what our “earthly vessel” can handle. Some of us are running on fumes for brain function, and that’s just real. I used to tear myself up when I couldn’t understand things. I’m the type of person that needs to know “how and why” about everything, but God needs me to let that go. I figured out that if I’m going to live by faith and not sight, I have to release my need for the “how and why”, and trust God to handle it. I believe I’ll understand it better by and by (that’s an old church folk saying lol).
Psalm 27 - the whole chapter chile BUT…
Verse 14 says, “Wait on the Lord: Be of good courage, and He shall strengthen thine heart: wait I say, on the Lord.” You can never go wrong taking a page out of David’s book. I mean, David was a man after God’s heart, which just means he had the character of God. Make no mistake, David made his bed, but he NEVER just laid in it. He took accountability for his sins and short comings, gave them to God and moved on. He prayed when he was in trouble, and even danced! If “praise your way through” was a person, it would be David. At the end of this chapter, (verse 13 specifically) David said he’d faint if he thought he’d never see God’s goodness on earth. That MUST mean he was aware that there was something to look forward to after death, but if the earth is God’s, he can see His goodness NOW. That’s such deep faith, to know God’s promise, and know that it’s not confined to life in heaven. The Bible says “on earth as it is in heaven.” The joy and peace you know to be heavenly CAN be experienced here on earth. Wait on the Lord and have courage to do so. God WILL strengthen your heart. Take that and run with it!
