YOU BELONG HERE

I want to start this post with some affirmations that came to me in divine timing.

I belong here.

I thrive here.

I am secure in my position here.

No matter where you are in life, there is always something to be thankful for, and there is purpose in your experience. Start taking each day at a time, expecting to learn, feel and gain. You can learn from your “losses”, and I put them in quotes because only you can decide what is a loss. Not getting the job, parting ways with a friend or significant other, just not getting your way. Shifting your perspective, holding tight to the one truth that you are here, and have hope for tomorrow.

I can’t remember the last time we talked about imposter syndrome,

but I know I mostly covered the negative - not knowing who you are, adopting identities that aren’t yours. Let’s talk about the validity of feeling like some things just aren’t for you. Ask yourself why you feel that way. Who told me I wasn’t qualified? When did I start believing that I’m not good enough? How do I get to the part where I succeed if I am focused on the reasons that I may/may not fail? Whew! Think about your answer to those questions and answer in the comments below. I’ll start.

  1. Plenty of people may have told me I wasn’t qualified. They may have asked several times if I was ready, or screened me for jobs that they themselves are not qualified for much less interested in. I will also acknowledge that unfortunately, sometimes I was the villain in my story. I told myself I wasn’t capable or ready. I’m taking accountability now, and that means not just acknowledging this, but changing my behavior. I’m using action to manifest, not just words.

  2. I don’t remember when I started believing the lie but today that changes. I will affirm and encourage myself in the one who already predestined my successes and victories. “but David encouraged himself in the Lord his God.” I Samuel 30:6

  3. Focusing on the failure, or the reason for failure breeds doubt and smothers your faith. In order to walk in your faith you have to know the truth. The truth is I learned, not lost. “I never lose. I either win or learn.” -Nelson Mandela Focus on taking a different route, avoiding the detours and incidents you experienced the first time around.

I’m excited for this last quarter of the year, and I hope this post inspired you to grab hold of the vision you have for your life. Affirm and encourage yourself everyday, make sure to manifest with your actions and faith, not just your words.

I will be hosting my annual vision board event in November. If you’re interested RSVP below and I will send you the link to join.
