WHY SO SERIOUS? - QUARANTINE DAY 7

Guys you won’t believe I had this entire blog post written last night, and it got deleted (LOL). Oh the joys of being a writer and content creator ; it happens. I titled this blog post Why So Serious because I think we’re all worried we’re going to lose our minds being locked up, which is relative to what may or may not have happened while various actors prepared to play the infamous role as The Joker. I’ve got the antidote. Some of these may for some more than others, but I’ll also help you decide what’s for you.
If you’re like me a lot of your free time is spent figuring out how to make more money so we can spend a little bit. Well, I’m a huge fan of bargain hunting of any kind, and since we can’t make a trip to the thrift store, why not look for things on Amazon. Not only is there an opportunity for free shipping (if you’re an Amazon Prime member - praises be for that), you can make a little coin from being an Amazon affiliate. If you came here for the deets on my recently pictured wig on Instagram, you came to the right place.
I get almost everything from Amazon now. This past week alone I’ve bought equipment for my graphics and card business, a wig, and braiding hair. Tonight, I’m watching two of my favorite movies Brown Sugar and Love Jones on Amazon Prime Video. The resources; seriously, there’s no reason to be bored. If you want to see a post about the books I’m reading and what movies I’m watching let me know. Also, ladies, comment below what you’re doing with your hair.
The second thing I’ve been doing is creating different vibes in different rooms. Dedicate each room to something specific. If you’re working from home, try to pick the place you usually feel most productive. For some people, working in the bed doesn’t bother them. Chile, I can’t always do it because I’ll be sleep in a matter of minutes (courtesy of this TempurPedic honey). Some places are most suitable for obvious reasons (ie the kitchen), but spaces like the living room are multi-purposeful. Watch tv while coloring, play background music to your in-home workout, or just read in a cozy corner. Here is what I suggest: Make a list of activities that includes what you need to do to be productive, relaxed, emotionally sound and creative. Whatever these things translate to, decide what part of the house gives you the ability to complete your list without difficulty. Once you do that, you’ll be overly prepared to fight corona virus from the comfort and safety of your home.
I will continue to keep you guys updated with new tea, tips and tricks so you don’t transform into some manic comedian. Until then, eat a snickers if you don’t feel yourself [unless you’re allergic to peanuts, then just drink some cool water].
Xoxo, richelle k.
